To systematically sum up the experiences of China Earthquake Administration in key lab construction and operation, get the whole picture of lab operation management, and give full play to its role as base of the seismological technological innovation system, the Department of Science and Technology, China Earthquake Administration organized experts to conduct on-site inspection and evaluation to the Key Lab for Active Tectonics and Volcanoes of the Institute of Geology (IGL) on September 10, 2015. The expert group comprised of scholars from China Earthquake Administration, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Surveying and Mapping Sciences, Tsinghua University and Peking University.

The key lab director Xu Xiwei briefed the expert group the overall orientation and research direction of the lab.
